In order to run the various XEPHR tools from your desktop, you must have a current Java Runtime Environment installed, version 1.5 or higher.

Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 and Windows XP Service Pack 2

We recommend that you install Sun JRE Version 1.5.0_01.

Red Hat Advanced Server 3.x for the Intel Platform

We recommend that you install Sun JRE Version 1.5.0_01.

Mac OS X version 10.4

Xephr requires Java 1.5 or greater, so Mac OS X 1.4 "Tiger" is required. Java 1.5 is included as part of the Mac OS X 1.4 operating system.
